With the slowing down of my lifestyle and abiding by the federal instructions to stay at home as much as possible during this time of the COVID-19 global health crisis, I have more time to read. I'm one to sponge news programming, in general, but found that taking a break from the frequency of reading and watching the news about the impact of the Coronavirus gives me some sense of calm in the storm. While I continue to stay informed and act responsibly, I am using some of my extra time at home to read books that inspire, comfort and ease anxiety in this time of crisis and uncertainty. Here's some recommended reading:
1) The Bible - specifically chapter of Psalms for words of comfort.
2) Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change - Pema Chodron
3) The Power of Now: A Guide To Spiritual Enlightment - Eckhart Tolle
4) A Woman's Journey...With God - Mary Prince
5) Anxious For Nothing - Finding Calm In A Chiaotic World - Max Lucado
6) Passionate Presence - Experiencing the Seven Qualities of Awakened Awareness - Catherine Ingram
7) The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success - Deepak Chopra
I'm continuing to take our world situation one day at a time. Hope you will take some respite today and read something that inspires, restores and comforts.
What I will be reading next?
Small Graces - The Quiet Gifts of Everyday Life - Kent Nerburn.
